The Basics
Your data is yours. We’ll never sell it.
We collect the minimum information we need to make Tutonomi work (like your name, email address, and payment details).
We use trusted third-party services to help us run Tutonomi. They only get the data they need to do their job.
What We Collect
Account details: Name, email address, password (encrypted), and business details if you choose to add them.
Payment info: Handled securely by our third-party payment service provider (PSP) and never stored directly on our servers.
Pupil and lesson data: The information you enter into Tutonomi to run your tutoring business.
Google User Data (if you choose to connect Google Calendar):
Profile Data: Basic profile details, including your email address, full name, and profile photo, used solely for account authentication.
Calendar List : Read-only access to view the list of calendars associated with your Google Account, allowing you to choose which calendar to sync.
Calendar Events: Read and write access to view, create, edit, and delete calendar events. We use this exclusively to create, update, and cancel calendar entries corresponding to your scheduled tutoring lessons.
Usage data: Things like login times, device type, and interactions — to help us improve Tutonomi.
How We Use Your Data
To run the service (scheduling, calendar synchronization, reminders, invoicing, payments).
To provide customer support if you need help.
To improve Tutonomi and fix bugs.
To send you updates about new features or important changes.
Who We Share Data With & Disclosures
Payment service provider (PSP): So you can accept payments securely.
Hosting and infrastructure providers: Essential cloud database and hosting providers to keep Tutonomi running smoothly.
Google User Data Disclosures
No Selling or Trading: We do not sell, rent, or trade your Google user data.
No Marketing or AI Training: Google user data is never shared with third parties for advertising, marketing, tracking, or training generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Google API Limited Use Disclosure: Tutonomi’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security & Data Protection
We take data security seriously and implement robust technical and organizational security controls to keep your information safe:
Encryption in Transit: All communications between your device and our servers, as well as connections to Google APIs, are encrypted using HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or higher protocols.
Encryption at Rest: Sensitive credentials—such as OAuth access/refresh tokens—and user event data stored in our databases are protected using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
Access Control: Restrictive role-based access policies ensure that only authorized system processes have access to API tokens and event data.
Data Retention & Token Deletion: You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time through your Tutonomi account settings or revoke access directly via your Google Account Security settings. Disconnecting your account immediately and permanently deletes your stored OAuth access tokens from our systems.
Your Rights
You can access, request to export, or delete your data at any time.
You can close your account whenever you like — we’ll delete your data after a reasonable period unless we’re legally required to keep it.
You can opt out of marketing emails (though we’ll still send you essential service emails).
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how you use Tutonomi, so we can identify ways to improve it.
We do what we can to anonymise the data. We have no desire or need to link the data to specific people, but it is really helpful for us to see how Tutonomi is working as it helps us build a better experience for you. We hope you’re cool with this.
No creepy tracking. No selling data to advertisers.

If we make big changes to this policy, we’ll let you know in advance.
