Who Receives Payment Emails?

Understand who receives billing emails when a parent or guardian is linked to a pupil.

Tutonomi sends payment-related emails to whoever is set as the billing contact for that pupil.

For adult pupils, that's the pupil themselves.

For pupils under 16, it's the parent or guardian you added when setting up the pupil's account.

This applies to all payment emails — invoices, payment confirmations, reminders, and failed payment notifications.

If you're not sure who the billing contact is for a particular pupil, open their profile from the Pupils page. The email address shown in the Contact Details section is the address all payment emails go to.

Good to know

  • You can update the billing contact's email address at any time from the pupil's profile. Changes take effect immediately for any future emails.
