Can I Record a Cash or Bank Transfer Payment?

Tutonomi is designed as a card-only platform.
All lesson payments need to be made by card through the system. We don’t currently support recording cash or manual bank transfers.
Here’s why that’s intentional.
Why everything runs through card payments
Tutonomi is built to remove admin completely.
When every lesson is paid by card through the platform, we can:
Charge automatically
Retry failed payments
Send reminder emails
Keep your revenue tracking accurate
Give you clean reporting
Remove awkward chasing
If a pupil pays by bank transfer, the process becomes manual again.
You would need to:
Create and send an invoice
Ask them to make the transfer
Check your bank to confirm it has arrived
Follow up if it hasn’t
Reconcile everything yourself
That is exactly the admin Tutonomi is designed to remove.
What if a pupil prefers bank transfer?
Some pupils may initially prefer bank transfer because it feels familiar.
However, card payments are:
Secure
Automatic
Trackable
Easier for everyone
We strongly recommend encouraging pupils to move to card payments so everything runs smoothly inside one system.
Most tutors find that once pupils understand the convenience, they are happy to use card payments.

Tutonomi is free to use.
It’s funded through a small card processing fee when lessons are paid.
