Chase a Late Lesson Payment
A simple step-by-step guide for Tutonomi tutor management software.

Here's how to send a pupil a payment reminder when a lesson payment has failed and automatic retries have been exhausted.
Step 1: Go to Billing
From the left-hand menu, click Billing.

Step 2: Find the payment
In the Failed Payments table, locate the payment you want to chase.

Step 3: Open the options
Click View Options next to the payment.

Step 4: Send a reminder
From the modal, select the option to send a reminder email. This sends the pupil a secure link so they can complete the payment or update their card details.
Good to know
The reminder email includes a secure payment link — the pupil can use it to pay directly or update their card details.
If the pupil remains unresponsive after the reminder, the only remaining option is to delete their account, which will write off all outstanding payments and cancel any scheduled lessons.
Automatic reminders run before a payment reaches the Failed Payments table, so by this point the pupil will already have received several notifications.
