What Happens If You Cancel After Payment?

Lessons can only be cancelled before they take place. Once a lesson has been marked as Due or Paid by the system, the standard cancel option is no longer available.

If the lesson hasn't been paid yet

If the lesson is marked as Due, you'll need to wait for the payment to be collected before you can issue a refund. Once the payment goes through and the status changes to Paid, you can then refund it.

If the lesson has been paid

Once a lesson is marked as Paid, there are two ways to issue a refund and cancel it.

From the calendar, click on the lesson and select Refund & Cancel from the Lesson Options panel.

Or from the Billing page, find the payment in the Payments table, click the ... menu next to it, and select Refund.

Either way, a confirmation prompt will appear showing the amount and the pupil's name. Click Yes to confirm. The money is returned directly to the pupil's bank card and the lesson is marked as Refunded on both the calendar and the Billing page.

Good to know

• Refunds are returned to the card that was originally charged — you can't redirect a refund to a different payment method.

• Once refunded, the lesson remains visible on the calendar and in your payment history, marked as Refunded.
